WIC has added 16 new innovative businesses to the cluster. The number of members has increased by 121 over the previous year.

The idea that hydrogen is an important aspect of the energy transition is becoming more and more of a reality for businesses.

The following people have joined as new members:

VoltH2 is building large-scale green hydrogen generation plants, the most recent of which are the Terneuzen and Vlissingen projects.

With initiatives like North-CCU-Hub and North-C-methanol, as well as the construction of a regional hydrogen network, North Sea Port, the amalgamated port of Ghent-Terneuzen and Vlissingen, is firmly devoted to the production and application of hydrogen.

Uniper is a worldwide energy corporation with a number of power plants in the Netherlands, notably one near the Maasvlakte, where they want to build an energy center based on wind energy and green hydrogen.

The Karel De Grote Hogeschool, a mobility expertise center, performs research on sustainable fuels, such as hydrogen, for combustion engines, drive systems, and control systems.

Altrea, a Belgian logistics firm with a subsidiary in Luxembourg called Haesaerts, aims to be a leader in the greening of heavy transport and just bought a hydrogen vehicle from CMB.

Naval Inland Navigation, a company specializing in the inland transportation of fuels and lubricants, wants to make its fleet greener by using hydrogen, among other things.

The province of Flemish Brabant, VOKA Flemish Brabant, and the universities of KULeuven and VUB have formed the Smart Hub Vlaams Brabant. Smart Hub Flanders, in collaboration with the WIC, intends to strengthen and extend the local hydrogen community.

Chevron Phillips is a company that works in the (petro) chemical business and has expertise generating natural gas odorants as well as exploring hydrogen’s potential.

Kelvion manufactures heat exchangers with the intention of using them in hydrogen technology.

Newes, a business that has previously focused on steam boiler maintenance, is now pursuing a new venture with the development of alkaline electrolysis, which can provide hydrogen at high pressure.

Croonwolter & Dros is a company that designs, builds, and maintains technical solutions for the utility, industrial, and infrastructure industries, and it now aims to expand into hydrogen applications.

P&V Panels, with an emphasis on infrastructure, industry, buildings, and machine builders, develops, constructs, and maintains electrical distribution and control panels for all imaginable applications and sectors.

Willemen Groep is a significant family-owned construction company that works on a wide range of projects, including industrial and commercial buildings, residential development, and road construction.

RWE, a significant German energy business that, in addition to traditional power plants, produces wind and solar parks in the Netherlands and Belgium, is also participating in a number of hydrogen projects in the Netherlands.

Exion Hydrogen is a new firm that specializes in the development and production of electrolysers.

Viessmann, a provider of heat solutions for the built environment, including fuel cell-based (micro) cogeneration.
