First Hydrogen Corp. Finalizes Land Agreements, Aims for Green Hydrogen Production

First Hydrogen Corp. has finalized land option agreements with the City of Shawinigan, Quebec, and shared its vision for a green hydrogen-powered energy transition in Quebec and North America. The company plans to produce up to 35 MW of green hydrogen, using advanced electrolysis technology. This hydrogen will be utilized by its fuel cell vehicles (FCEVs), to be assembled in a new Shawinigan plant. The plant targets an annual production capacity of 25,000 vehicles and will contribute significantly to job creation in green technology. First Hydrogen’s vision aligns with the Government of Quebec’s Green Hydrogen and Bioenergy Strategy, as well as the Energy Transition Valley Innovation Zone, Hydrogen Québec, and the Hydrogen Research Institute.
