REC funds green hydrogen and thermal projects
Two green hydrogen and thermal power projects will be funded by REC Limited, according to inked agreements. In Odisha, the projects will be located. The 660 MW thermal project in Jharsuguda, Odisha, would be built with funding from MoUs signed by REC and Odisha Power Generation Corporation Limited for a total of Rs 95.38 billion. The agreement will significantly affect the state’s energy infrastructure and electricity producing capability.
Additionally, REC and Acme Group have teamed together to commit Rs 160 billion in investment for the construction of a green hydrogen and ammonia complex. The construction site would be at Gopalpur, Odisha. In addition, REC and the Avaada Group have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) pledging Rs 150 billion to the construction of a green hydrogen and ammonia complex in Gopalpur. The value of all the Memoranda of Understanding is Rs 405.38 billion. This project emphasizes the value of clean and sustainable energy sources for the future.
Ryze Hydrogen has chosen XPO as sole carrier of clean hydrogen
In the UK and Ireland, Ryze Hydrogen has chosen XPO, a provider of European logistics solutions, as its sole carrier of clean hydrogen.
As the sole provider of hydrogen transportation in the UK and Ireland, XPO is contributing to the creation of National Occupational Standards that will regulate worker performance and the knowledge and abilities needed to work safely and efficiently in the hydrogen production, storage, and transportation industries.
A hydrogen car can be refueled faster than a diesel car and has the same range as fossil fuels because to Ryze Hydrogen’s operational principle, which enables hydrogen fuel to be pumped in the same way as conventional fossil fuels.
German Telekom subsidiary to use hydrogen fuel cells from SFC Energy
Future hydrogen fuel cells from SFC Energy AG will be used by Deutsche Telekom subsidiary PASM Power and Air Condition Solution Management GmbH. The gadgets’ purpose is to make the communication network reliable. On Tuesday, neither SFC Energy nor the Telekom subsidiary disclosed the order’s amount.
According to a statement from SFC Energy, this move is meant to guarantee an effective and low-maintenance energy supply for the information and communications technology infrastructure.
Bus Asia transitioning its buses from diesel to hydrogen
Biaramas Express Sdn Bhd-owned Bus Asia is now making efforts to transition its buses and other vehicles from diesel to hydrogen gas as the engine fuel.
Lai Sin Kiong, manager of Biaramas Express Sdn Bhd, stated that this project would be carried out in conjunction with the KIS Group while his business has plans to carry out this change in the upcoming years.
He continues by saying that this technological shift intends to lower carbon emissions, enhance air quality, and increase adherence to a greener future.
