S-Oil and Aramco cooperate on ammonia

On the 25th, S-Oil declared that it had signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Aramco to buy ammonia with low carbon content.

The purpose of this letter of intent is to fortify the cooperation agreement (MOU) that both businesses signed last year regarding the creation of a hydrogen supply network.It is distinguished by an agreement between the two businesses to supply Korea with low-carbon ammonia made in Saudi Arabia and make use of it.


Tatra Trucks unveils four-axle Force e-Drive truck powered by hydrogen

Recently, Tatra Trucks unveiled a remarkable new product: a four-axle Force e-Drive truck powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. The T815-700R44.39A 8×6.2 model is the result of a cooperative effort with UJV Rez, a Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic-based producer of DEVINN hydrogen power plants.

Two 100 kW fuel cell units from Ballard power apiece are installed in the machine. Six 30 kg hydrogen cylinders are kept at 350 bar of pressure. Additionally, 171 kWh of LiNMC batteries are part of the apparatus. An electric motor with a peak output of 580 kW and a constant power of 480 kW, a Danfoss PMI 540 – T2000, powers the vehicle. Total torque: 2300 Nm.


UPL, PSOE and PP approval for green hydrogen project

The Stellar Project, which is being pushed by Aesa Energía, has received approval from all municipal factions of the Cistierna City Council, UPL, PSOE, and PP. The motion states that “green or renewable hydrogen will be essential to decarbonize our economy and achieve climate objectives.” Apart from its energy advantages, the hydrogen sector also contributes to job creation, economic growth, and innovation. It is anticipated that this project would require a 120 million euro investment and that 120 direct employment will be created.


Isuzu Motors presents Giga Fuel Cell in Japan

Isuzu Motors Limited (IML) presented the Giga Fuel Cell in person at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show after initially revealing the first photographs and details about its fuel cell-powered electric truck. Isuzu’s design for a heavy-duty carrier with zero emissions is called the Giga Fuel Cell, and it was developed in collaboration with Honda.

The functioning model that is on show at Tokyo Big Sight is based on the Lowdeck 8×4 rigid truck layout, which is common for intercity vehicles. Isuzu says that the Giga Fuel Cell can travel over 800 kilometers on a full hydrogen tank without emitting any pollution.


Namibia preparing green hydrogen legislation

To create the framework for the creation of legal measures to simplify the implementation of Namibia’s green hydrogen projects, the Ministry of Mines and Energy is scheduled to hold its first-ever workshop next week.

The lack of regulatory frameworks for green hydrogen projects, which presents a substantial barrier to their successful implementation, is the focus of the workshop.

On Monday and Tuesday of the next week, important government leaders, ministries, regulators, and agencies will come together to discuss policy formulation and the reach of sectoral legislation.
