Automobile manufacturers all around the world are developing hydrogen engines to power their cars, and these engines might eventually replace not just hydrogen fuel cell technology and regular combustion engines, but also electric vehicles (EVs).

While the electric vehicle industry continues to grow, the application of hydrogen engine technology in commercial vehicles is still in its early stages, and the practicality of hydrogen gas as a useful and practical alternative has yet to be established.

Thanks to a Ford patent explained in this video by Driven Media, that might all change soon. Unlike the silent electric version, the footage presents a new type of engine that will make all of the exciting and pleasurable noises of a combustion engine.
