THE JET ZeroEmission, a Swiss start-up, announced that it has reached an agreement with Zenith Marine Services LLC, located in the United Arab Emirates, and DWYN LLC to construct and operate ‘THE JET,’ the world’s first clean-energy, hydrogen-powered flying boat. The international debut of the boat, which has a distinctive design, will take place in Dubai.

Dubai’s leadership position as a worldwide center for future industries is reflected in this statement. Dubai’s strong infrastructure and welcoming investment climate have made it an ideal starting point for creative enterprises seeking to achieve global goals.

‘THE JET’ is equipped with cutting-edge features and technology, allowing it to glide silently over the water at a cruising speed of 40 knots. The elegant vessel can accommodate 8 to 12 guests and is outfitted with two fuel cells, an air conditioner, and other clean-tech, ecologically friendly technology to help minimize carbon emissions.

Alain Thébault, founder of THE JET ZeroEmission and former world sailing speed record holder in 2009 and creator of electric Seabubbles prototypes in 2016, spoke about the event “We are delighted to be able to make this announcement from Dubai.

construct and deploy ‘THE JET,’ which will be the world’s first boat capable of flying 80cm above the ocean and sailing without noise, waves, or emissions.”

“Dubai is a perfect location for innovators and businesses from all over the globe to create their unique ideas and achieve their desired success, which is why we’ve unveiled ‘THE JET,’ a project that I had the honor of co-creating with the team. We want to interact with anyone who are interested in learning more about this incredible flying boat at the 28th International Climate Summit (COP28 UAE), which will be held in the United Arab Emirates “Thébault remarked.

The news is a positive milestone for both the clean-tech industry and the startup. In addition, the start-up was able to acquire a portion of the needed investment of ten million Euros.
