2JCP has completed two Silyzer300 electrolyzers for Siemens Energy, marking a pivotal step in the development of Europe’s largest e-Methanol production facility, FlagshipONE, located in Örnsköldsvik, northern Sweden.
FlagshipONE represents a state-of-the-art Power-to-X facility, spearheaded by Danish energy giant Ørsted, poised to redefine the landscape of energy production in Europe. With a capacity of 70 MW PEM electrolyzers and CO2 capture technology, this groundbreaking project aims to commence operations in 2025, producing an impressive 55,000 tons of e-methanol annually.
The collaboration between 2JCP, Siemens Energy, and Ørsted underscores a shared commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions. In a testament to the project’s potential for transformative impact, the Breakthrough Energy Catalyst, founded and backed by philanthropist Bill Gates, has acquired a 15% equity interest in FlagshipONE.
