Schaeffler will make a major contribution to the efficient establishment of hydrogen technology as an automotive and industrial supplier, with revolutionary components and systems for fuel cells and electrolyzers.
Schaeffler emphasizes this with a strategic partnership agreement signed at the Auto Shanghai with Refire, a leading supplier of hydrogen fuel cell technology in China.
Schaeffler and Refire will collaborate in main hydrogen fuel cell technology areas such as bipolar plates and thermal management systems, according to the agreement. The two parties will work together to facilitate hydrogen fuel cell industrialization.
Metallic bipolar plates for fuel cell stacks are another highlight, which are made by precise shaping and coating in the thin-layer range. They are the heart of the fuel cell system, arranged in stacks, and play a crucial role in the production of hydrogen and its conversion to electrical energy.
