EDS HV Group (EDS) has received an International Safety Award from the British Safety Council Distinction. The winning submission outlines EDS’s dedication and creative approach to health and safety.
The submission also detailed EDS’s ongoing efforts to ensure the wellbeing of all workers, including those employed in demanding and complex offshore environments.
The International Safety Awards, now in its 62nd year, are the most prestigious award scheme for health and safety and are only awarded to businesses who have demonstrated dedication to workplace health, safety, and wellbeing.
The 2020 awards saw a total of 577 applicants across the United Kingdom, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, with only 15 percent achieving the grade distinction.
“Historically distinctions are given to much larger organisations, I’m immensely proud that we’ve been given this accolade. It is a testament to the dedication of the project management team and the focus of our health and safety team. We work in challenging environments every day and knowing how to keep our engineers safe and operational isn’t just vital for the energy infrastructure we work on, but is our duty as an organisation that is built on its people. We are looking forward to celebrating as a team and picking up this award later in the year.”
Ryan Henderson, managing director at EDS Group.
The award represents EDS’s ongoing efforts to maintain and develop safety standards and monitoring processes within its operations and employees, as well as to demonstrate its dedication to innovation and quality improvement.
