As part of a variety of green hydrogen projects being developed for Apex Group, the Schaper Group will install up to 40 MWh of energy storage devices supplied by Tesvolt GmbH.
Tesvolt announced the news today, estimating that the new deal will bring in EUR 40 million (USD 46.5 million) in income by 2023 for the Wittenberg-based firm. This is the company’s largest order to date, according to the company.
The Schaper Group will use the batteries when the electrolysers’ solar and wind power supplies are insufficient.
The Schaper Group, according to Hermann Huss, owner and managing director, has been working with Tesvolt on numerous projects for over three years. “In the future, we want to work together to develop more green energy solutions for manufacturing companies,” he added.
