President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan proposed creating an international consortium to coordinate activities of major scientific institutions from the Organization of Turkic-speaking States member nations in the hydrogen energy business, Kazinform reported.
Tokayev listed hydrogen energy as a priority. The Kazakh President noted that hydrogen energy is a new clean fuel. Kazakhstan, he claims, has the scientific potential and qualified personnel to develop a green hydrogen industrial cluster.
On global warming, water and food security, and the efficient and equitable use of transborder water resources. Given the concerns, the Kazakh President declared that Kazakhstan is willing to build hydro-dams with its neighbors. Tokayev is in Istanbul for the 8th Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States.
