The Russian Hydrogen company has struck an agreement in principle to take over the operational administration of the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Facility and the SintezKauchuk plant.

The management of the Russian Hydrogen and Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat companies spoke about plans to intensify investment activities, expand the import substitution policy, strengthen social stability, and further enterprise development at a working meeting with the staff of the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant and Sintez-Kauchuk.

The Crimean Soda Plant has previously been reported to be under the management of the Russian Hydrogen corporation. During an extraordinary meeting, the plant’s shareholders authorized Russian Hydrogen as a management company for a five-year period.

Russian Hydrogen was created by industrialist Stanislav Tikhonov and registered in February 2021 with an authorized capital of 500 thousand rubles, according to Interfax. Russian Hydrogen is a management and business consultancy firm. Eduard Davydov, who is also the general director of the Bashkir Soda Company and the Berezniki Soda Plant, is the structure’s general director, according to an extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

The “Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant” produces high-quality styrene-butadiene rubbers, aviation, and sports gasoline, a variety of low-tonnage chemicals, and MTBE, a high-octane fuel additive. In addition, the company is the sole producer of phenolic antioxidants “Agidol” in Russia and the CIS, which are used in the manufacturing of synthetic rubbers, plastics, fibers, lubricating, and transformer oils, as well as the feed, food, and cosmetic sectors.

The only factory in Russia that manufactures the neodymium isoprene rubber grades SKI-5 and SKI-5 PM is “Sintez-Kauchuk.”
