Changan Automobile conducted its 2022 Global Partner Conference in Chongqing, China, where the company revealed its most recent corporate growth strategy and commercial activities.

Avatar expects to launch four products in the high-end smart electric vehicle market, encompassing the mid-to-high-end market segments. The E11, the first model based on the CHN platform, will go into mass production shortly to suit consumers’ full-scene connected mobility needs.

Increase the pace of hydrogen fuel cell research and development. Establish and improve a “parts-system-vehicle” hydrogen energy R&D, manufacturing, and testing system, master system integration and control technology independently, and focus on creating fuel cell products with “low hydrogen consumption, high safety, and high reliability” to achieve carbon reduction in multiple scenarios and green industry.

Mainstream passenger automobile market: 21 new products, including five under the Deepal brand, will be introduced in the near future. In 2022, a total of five new vehicles will be introduced, including the C385EV, C673EV, UNI-K PHEV, UNI-V PHEV, and Oshan Z6-PHEV, as well as the first mass-produced hydrogen fuel cell car in China, to answer the mainstream population’s desire for green transportation.

To address the need for short-range transportation, four new micro and tiny electric vehicle products will be released in the future, as well as a new A158 product this year.

Commercial vehicle market: Six new products will be introduced in the future to ensure that the mainstream bus market is fully covered by 2025, as well as two new platform pickup vehicles. The first grid logistics bus will be introduced in 2022 to address the need for quality freight transportation among “courier boys.”

Understanding the fundamental technologies

Create a new generation of power electronics with an electric drive that is highly integrated. With the use of an 800V electric drive platform and high-rate quick charging cores, it can attain a range of 150-200km in just 5 minutes.

Continuously improved energy consumption integrated design, average A-class automobile power consumption 11kWh/100km (based on 0.52 yuan/kWh electricity pricing), use cost less than 6 cents per kilometer.

Mass production use of (semi) solid-state batteries, to achieve zero thermal runaway battery, to give users a longer range, safer EV experience.
