A expert in organic waste from Hull is among the businesses receiving funds to advance a clean fuels initiative.
As part of the government’s Hydrogen Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage Innovation Program, Biowise will earn up to £250,000. It is investigating how non-biodegradable twigs, branches, and sticks might be combined with food and garden waste to provide a feedstock for hydrogen gasifiers.
It will scope and construct a realistic prototype demonstration concept for the second phase of the £5 million phase one competition, for which it was one of 22 selected.
