The “Green Hydrogen State of the Nations Summary” study was delivered by Interreg project Inn2POWER. The paper, which is available for online review, gives a summary of the current state of green hydrogen in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and the UK. Improving SMEs’ access to the offshore wind industry and green hydrogen is one of Inn2POWER’s goals.
Offshore wind energy and green hydrogen make a potent combination. By assisting SMEs with their further expansion in offshore wind and green hydrogen, the Interreg Inn2POWER project seeks to accelerate this match.
As a result of this effort, the “Green Hydrogen State of the Nations Summary Report” was created. It provides the most recent information on policy, programs, infrastructure, and ecosystem developments related to green hydrogen in the four partner nations.
This paper was a joint effort between 8 partners and WaterstofNet. The following organizations are also involved in the project: WAB – Wind Agentur Bremerhaven (Duitsland); Kent County Council, Opergy en Hydrogen East; POM West-Vlaanderen, Port Oostende, and De Blauwe Cluster (Belgi); Stichting NNOW (The Netherlands); and WaterstofNet (United Kingdom).
By integrating offshore wind and green hydrogen firms in the North Sea Region, the Inn2POWER initiative aims to increase innovation capacity and facilitate access to the offshore wind industry and green hydrogen for SMEs. A few intriguing methods are being created to accomplish this, such as the “Green Hydrogen State of the Nations Summary Report.”
A company directory (an interactive mapping/address book for the offshore wind and green hydrogen industries) and an approachable web-based marketplace that enables businesses to browse a comprehensive directory of international test facilities for the offshore wind and green hydrogen industries are also being developed as additional tools.
