The Port of Corpus Christi Authority (PCCA) and US renewable energy business AmmPower have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to study the creation of green hydrogen as feedstock for green fuel and green derivatives production, storage, and distribution facilities.

In order to generate, store, and distribute these derivatives for use as a carbon-free fuel and a carrier of hydrogen energy, AmmPower is assessing the viability of collaborating with PCCA to explore the creation of a sizable green hydrogen feedstock for green fuel plant.

The factory will create green derivatives rich in hydrogen for domestic and international markets.

Due to its ability to provide access to a deep draft channel, land for site selection, and close proximity to renewable energy, PCCA has become the nation’s gateway for exporting low-carbon energy to foreign markets.

Since 2017, PCCA has voluntarily purchased electricity from only renewable sources, and since 2021, it has been a Green Power Partner of the EPA.
