EGAT partners with five companies to develop hydrogen And ammonia

To study and develop “full-cycle clean hydrogen and ammonia, biofuel production, and BESS,” EGAT teamed up with five top Japanese companies. The goal was to share knowledge on clean energy technologies, support the reduction of carbon emissions in the power generation sector, improve energy security while also protecting the environment, move Thailand toward carbon neutrality, and create sustainability for the global climate.

The Deputy Governor-Fuel of EGAT stated that in order to reduce CO2 emissions, EGAT seeks alternative fuels for electricity generation. EGAT has prioritized the global energy transition trend. Future fuels with no carbon emissions during combustion include hydrogen and ammonia, whereas biofuel is a clean and environmentally beneficial energy source. Moreover, BESS is a technique that enhances the stability of managing energy storage for electrical power produced from renewable sources.

Through the collaboration outlined in these three MOUs, top international corporations will be able to share cutting-edge technology, advancing clean energy technologies and expanding business opportunities. This will also support Thailand’s adoption of new technologies for power generation, ensuring energy security, a healthy environment, and the sustainability of the world’s climate in the long run. Thus, these MOU agreements represent a crucial step in Thailand’s energy transition.

HYmpulsion selects HRS to develop hydrogen stations

The business HYmpulsion, in charge of the Zero Emission Valley project, has requested an upgrade from HRS, a European designer and producer of hydrogen stations, with the provision of two HRS40 stations.

By the installation of infrastructures for the production, storage, and distribution of green hydrogen as well as the provision of automobiles to hydrogen, this project seeks to build in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes a carbon-free, profitable, and sustainable transportation sector.

By 2024, the plan calls for the installation of 18 hydrogen fueling stations, 450 light utility fuel cell vehicles, roughly 115 buses, lorries, and coaches, as well as the generation of green hydrogen.

Oracle, Doosan and HyAxiom explore hydrogen fuel cell possibilities in Pakistan

A contract was signed by Doosan Fuel Cell Co., HyAxiom, and Oracle Power to investigate hydrogen fuel cell possibilities for industrial power in Pakistan.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the firms will work to support industrial power using fuel cells that use green hydrogen created by Oracle, providing a way to supply large-scale heavy industry with sustainable power.

The parent business of Oracle Power, Oracle Energy, will take on the task of meeting both the demand for green hydrogen supply and industrial power generation requirements. Additionally, Doosan and HyAxiom intend to collaborate in order to investigate and support the establishment of a joint fuel cell development program for industrial power generation with capacities up to 50MW.

Oracle is currently preparing to build a green hydrogen plant in Pakistan that will use 700 MW of solar power, 500 MW of wind power, and battery storage to produce about 55,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually.

Gyeongnam takes the lead in fostering the world’s No. 1 hydrogen industry

In order to spearhead the government’s initiative to “nurture the world’s No. 1 hydrogen industry,” Gyeongnam Province put up a proposal to support the hydrogen sector for the 8th public election.

On the same day, Ryu Myung-hyeon, director of the Industry and Trade Bureau, unveiled the hydrogen industry fostering plan (2023-2032, 10 years), which includes four strategic tasks to increase the competitiveness of the hydrogen industry, including the development of an ecosystem for hydrogen and the commercialization of core technologies.

With this strategy, the province’s hydrogen sector will be assessed for its current state, and a mid- to long-term fostering direction will be prepared for the implementation of the national goal of “nurturing the world’s No.

To “drive the manufacturing industry to take off again by fostering global hydrogen firms,” according to Park Wan-soo, the goal of Gyeongsangnam-hydrogen do’s industry fostering plan.
