In order to fuel the Bad Lauchstädt TerraWatt project in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, which will use wind energy to manufacture green hydrogen, Energiepark Bad Lauchstädt GmbH has placed a 50 MW order with Vestas.
Eight V162-6.2 MW turbines with a hub height of 169 meters are included in the deal, along with their supply, installation, and commissioning, as well as a 25-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement that will guarantee the asset’s optimal performance.
Thanks to a sizable electrolysis facility of up to 30 MW near to the project site, Energiepark Bad Lauchstädt will utilize wind energy to manufacture green hydrogen on an industrial scale.
The wind turbines’ delivery and installation are anticipated to start in the first quarter of 2024, while commissioning is planned for the following quarter.
