Vestas has secured an 84 MW order to supply, transport, install and commission a total of 20 V150-4.2 MW wind turbines for a wind project in Vietnam.
Vestas was able to customize a solution with V150-4.2 MW turbines at a hub height of 145 meters to help optimize the production of wind energy for the project , working closely with the customer to understand their requirements and the site conditions.
The order also includes a service agreement for 20 years of Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000), designed to maximize the site’s energy production.
“Vestas is extremely excited about the current boom in activity in Vietnam’s wind market. We are thrilled to work closely with our customers and partners to bring our world-leading wind energy solutions to the market, helping Vietnam grow into a regional leader in clean energy.”
Clive Turton, president of Vestas Asia Pacific.
The project and customer are undisclosed.
The construction of the project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2021, ahead of the current wind feed-in tariff deadline in Vietnam.
