IEAT Collaborates with Six Thai and Japanese Firms to Explore Potential of Hydrogen in Rayong

Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) has embarked on a collaborative journey with six Thai and Japanese firms to explore the potential of hydrogen fuel within the industrial heartlands of Rayong.

This partnership, operating within the precincts of the Map Ta Phut and Smart Park industrial estates, holds the promise of revolutionizing Thailand’s industrial landscape by harnessing the power of hydrogen.

Hydrogen, often hailed as the fuel of the future, offers a clean and versatile energy source that, when harnessed efficiently, can significantly reduce carbon emissions. This endeavor by IEAT and its partners reflects a growing global enthusiasm for unlocking hydrogen’s potential as a clean energy carrier.

The collaboration brings together industrial prowess from both Thailand and Japan, two nations at the forefront of innovation and technological advancement. Such partnerships are crucial in driving forward the development of hydrogen technology, as they pool expertise, resources, and ideas to surmount the formidable challenges associated with hydrogen adoption.

Exploring the Rayong Hub

The strategic choice of Rayong as the testing ground for hydrogen exploration is no coincidence. The Map Ta Phut and Smart Park industrial estates in Rayong constitute a hub of industrial activity, offering a fertile ground for assessing the feasibility and impact of hydrogen integration within diverse industrial processes.

The primary objective of this collaborative venture is to comprehensively study the utilization of hydrogen within industrial settings. This encompasses research into hydrogen production, storage, distribution, and its applications within various industrial processes.
