Turquoise Hydrogen begins Australian demo plant construction

The international development partner of Pure Hydrogen, an Australian clean energy company, has shipped essential equipment to Turquoise Group (‘TG’), in which it has a strategic 40% stake. This equipment will help progress the building and development of a commercial demonstration plant (‘CDP’) for the production of turquoise hydrogen.

The CDP is being developed by Turquoise Group in Brisbane, Queensland, in association with Plenesys. Plenesys is the creator of the HyPlasma technology process, which uses plasma to transform methane gas into solid carbon and turquoise hydrogen products.

Hyport hydrogen station established at Toulouse-Blagnac airport

On Monday, December 4, 2023, Europe’s first station for the production and distribution of renewable hydrogen in an airport zone was opened. Hyport is a project that represents mobility in the region of Occitanie. The Hyport station, constructed by McPhy, has the capacity to electrolyze 400 kg of renewable hydrogen per day. Actually, there are two stations: one on the tarmac side that serves as a fueling station for up to 20 buses or 200 light vehicles per day, including taxis, and the other on the city side that serves as a home to airport shuttles, aircraft tractors, and generators that power aircraft when they are grounded and not attached to a catwalk.

First hydrogen from World Energy GH2 project pushed back

The first hydrogen from the World Energy GH2 project in the Stephenville region that was supposed to enter Germany via Newfoundland and Labrador now looks to have been severely delayed. Not because the development of the windmills in Stephenville is taking longer than expected, but rather because the infrastructure needed to accept the electricity in the European nation is taking longer than expected.

According to GH2 spokesman Sean Leet, they anticipate getting the necessary governmental clearances early in the upcoming year to start development as planned.

JCB unveils hydrogen-powered construction machine

Asia’s first hydrogen-powered construction machine was proudly unveiled by JCB, a well-known brand in the industry. Today’s announcement of this ground-breaking information represents a major advancement in the field of environmentally responsible building industry advancements.

This innovative machine’s technology is revolutionary; it promises to produce zero tailpipe emissions together with the same levels of power, torque, and operational efficiency as traditional construction machines. This significant development is in line with JCB’s mission to transform building methods and promote environmental preservation.

DOT advertises hydrogen refueling station in Southeast Georgia

A public-private partnership agreement is planned between the Georgia Department of Transportation and a developer to deliver a hydrogen refueling station facility in Southeast Georgia that will be open to the public and utilized by commercial fleet cars.

On December 1st, a Notice of Intent to Advertise was released. In order to work with interested developers on the project’s implementation, Georgia DOT plans to release a Request for Proposals in the first quarter of 2024.
