Deputy chairman of Green Hydrogen Systems steps down

Troels Øberg, the deputy chairman of Green Hydrogen Systems, has made the decision to step down from the board of directors in order to focus on his other business responsibilities outside of the hydrogen group.

This was disclosed on Wednesday in a statement from the stock market.

Until the nominations for the board are made at the general meeting on April 9, one member of Green Hydrogen Systems’ board will be absent.

Cummins to unveil B6.7H hydrogen engine in Paris

Cummins has announced that at the Intermat show in Paris this April, it will introduce its next generation B6.7H hydrogen engine to the construction industry for the first time.

Cummins will demonstrate the new B6.7 engine platform with the same potential, which builds on the autonomous 15-liter engine show from last year’s Con Expo event. With this design, clean diesel, biodiesel, natural gas, and hydrogen fuels may all be mounted and claimed for a constant amount of space. The fuel system and the head are the two main areas that have changed, while the core engine block stays the same.

SCF Partners create D2Zero

SCF Partners, an investment group, has announced the creation of D2Zero, a decarbonization enterprise composed of five current UK companies, including Fuel Cell Systems and Hydrasun, producers of hydrogen.

All of the businesses on the new platform are SCF portfolio firms, and they are all skilled in engineering and operations support for a variety of energy infrastructure technologies.

It is envisaged that D2Zero would help customers reach their decarbonization and Net Zero goals more quickly. The company intends to grow to a size of £500 million ($636 million) in revenue and employ 4,000 people.

Amogy and Infinium ink MoU for green ammonia and eFuels

Amogy, a pioneer in carbon-free, energy-dense power solutions, and leading eFuels provider Infinium have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to explore opportunities for technology integration and to develop commercial applications throughout the green ammonia and eFuels value chain. In order to implement the integrated solution, Infinium and Amogy are also investigating joint ventures with SK Innovation and the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Group.

Together, the businesses will research and determine the best uses for their green ammonia and eFuels in order to hasten the decarbonization of heavy industry sectors. The potential integration of Amogy’s ammonia-cracking technology to offer affordable, easily accessible green hydrogen feedstock as an input to create Infinium’s eFuels is a major area of attention for this partnership.

GM and Komatsu develop hydrogen fuel cell power module for electric drive mining truck

The world’s best-selling ultra-class haul truck, Komatsu’s 930E electric drive mining truck, will soon have a hydrogen fuel cell power module developed in collaboration with General Motors. Together, GM, a pioneer in hydrogen fuel cell technology, and Komatsu, a major producer of construction and mining machinery worldwide, will design and verify the system.
Hydrogen fuel cells are perfect for energizing applications that are typically powered by diesel engines because they are lightweight and fast to refill. Large amounts of energy may be efficiently stored inside the vehicle using hydrogen, all without sacrificing the ability to carry heavy loads.
