Clean Power Hydrogen achieves hydrogen milestone with Northern Ireland Water

Clean Power Hydrogen, a developer of green hydrogen technology, has successfully completed a significant milestone in its partnership with Northern Ireland Water. The AIM-traded firm said that it has completed a successful functional test of its membrane-free electrolyser (MFE110) for Northern Ireland Water’s programme logic control (PLC).

It explained that the MFE110 is automatically operated by the PLC, which is the coded software in charge of critical safety measures including shutdown protocols.

Strohm wraps up TCP hydrogen testing programme

Strohm, a provider of Thermoplastic Composite Pipes (TCP), completed an intensive hydrogen testing program at Tüv-Süd in Germany.
Using a full-scale TCP with two end-fittings, the six-month permeation assessment covered a range of pressures and temperatures with promising results.

The TCP and end-fittings had extremely low hydrogen permeation values, proving the product’s technical viability for high-pressure hydrogen service, a crucial necessity in the expanding clean energy scenario.

The investigation also revealed the TCP’s reinforcing layer’s excellent barrier qualities. This unique design reduced hydrogen permeability tenfold in the TCP compared to unreinforced pipes.

Quantron and Hygenox to collaborate on European green hydrogen projects

A letter of intent to collaborate on green hydrogen projects around Europe has been signed by Hygenox and Quantron, two companies that specialize in environmentally friendly passenger and freight transportation.

During 2025–2026, Quantron AG plans to provide Hygenox with up to eight fuel cell vehicles that are environmentally beneficial, specifically the QUANTRON QHM FCEV and QUANTRON QLI FCEV models. The cars will be utilized at the Rüsselsheim am Main Opel plant for their 100 megawatt hydrogen project.

Ansaldo Energia proveS GT36 gas turbine’s hydrogen-optimized combustor

Ansaldo Energia has effectively proved the GT36 gas turbine’s hydrogen-optimized combustor’s capacity to run entirely on hydrogen fuel. In high-pressure experiments, GT36 sequential combustion technology has demonstrated flexible functioning from 0 to 100% hydrogen.

The GT36 combustor prototypes were successfully tested as part of the FLEX4H2 project at a special test facility in Cologne, Germany. The experiments demonstrated the combustor’s fuel and operational versatility by showcasing its smooth transition between hydrogen and natural gas.
