H2SITE’s ammonia-to-hydrogen onboard cracking tech gets Lloyd’s Register AiP
Lloyd’s Register (LR) has granted H2SITE’s ammonia-to-hydrogen onboard cracking technology an Approval in Principle (AiP).
The containerized technology from H2SITE is utilized for onboard applications, either straight in an internal combustion engine (ICE) or broken down into hydrogen to create a product fit for a fuel cell.
The core elements of the design were assessed during the AiP in accordance with LR’s guidelines for the categorization of ships that use gasses. In order to make sure the risk posed by ammonia and hydrogen is handled in accordance with LR’s certification, a risk assessment was conducted after a preliminary evaluation of the regulations.
HRS gets €1.35 million from Bpifrance
HRS, a French manufacturer and designer that leads the hydrogen refueling station market in Europe, has secured outstanding financing from Bpifrance totaling 1.35 million euros. The primary objective of this strategic financial support is to expedite the company’s global expansion and augment its research and development endeavors, specifically pertaining to big capacity stations.
This financing shows trust in and Bpifrance’s renewed commitment to HRS. It is divided into an Innovation Loan of €800,000 with a 3-year repayment deferment and a Prospecting Assistance of €550,000 repayable under certain conditions of attaining turnover in the USA.
