Aker Clean Hydrogen and CapeOmega have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore business opportunities in clean hydrogen and ammonia, with a particular focus on developing the Aukra Hydrogen Hub into a large-scale clean hydrogen production facility.
Aukra’s clean hydrogen can be used to decarbonize local industrial processes, provide emission-free fuel for maritime and land transport, and be exported to European hydrogen consumers.
CapeOmega’s logistics and infrastructure expertise will be combined with Aker Clean Hydrogen’s capabilities as a developer and future operator of cost-effective hydrogen facilities in this collaboration. Together with Aker Carbon Capture, another Aker Horizons portfolio company, the companies want to develop new, improved, and more cost-effective technology for clean hydrogen production and CO2 capture.
