Atlantique Offshore Energy, a business unit of Chantiers de l’Atlantique dedicated to marine energy, has developed an integrated H2 emergency power supply solution that combines the latest fuel cell technologies with its offshore system designer and manufacturer experience.
To meet the 18-hour autonomy requirement of the platform safety utilities stipulated by the Standard, this technology, dubbed SeeOs+H2, replaces conventional diesel backup generators. It emits no CO2 or NOx during this time. An electrolyser and a full set of management, monitoring, and control tools are all built in.
“We are really happy to contribute to the decarbonization of our customers’ operations and of the offshore wind sector through this kind of pioneering proposal” says Frederic Grizaud, Director of Atlantique Offshore Energy. “This project reflects our capacity to innovate and to implement ready-to-market solutions based on the lessons learned from successful execution of numerous Offshore Substations”.
