Saudi Arabia’s National Hydrogen Strategy, which is currently being finalized, aims to attract more than $36 billion in investment by 2030, according to a senior official from the country’s Energy Ministry. The UK government has committed to creating a new public body to improve the energy system’s resilience. Air Products has chosen thyssenkrupp nucera to supply alkaline water electrolysis technology for a 10 metric ton per day facility in Casa Grande, Arizona, that will produce green liquid hydrogen. Thyssenkrupp nucera will deliver two large-scale alkaline water electrolysis standard modules under this contract. The project has started, and the facility is expected to be operational in 2023. Green Hydrogen Systems has agreed to supply electrolysis equipment for a project in Scotland with Edinburgh-based Logan Energy. Two GHS HyProvide A90 electrolysers with a combined capacity of 0.9 MW are included in the order. Green Hydrogen Systems has signed an agreement with Gaznat to deliver electrolysis equipment for its Innovation Lab in Switzerland.
