New green hydrogen project from EDF Renewables will help the Teesside area of the UK become a hub for hydrogen technologies. Renewable energy from offshore wind farms will be used to generate green hydrogen in a new project near Hartlepool. Hydrogen will be supplied to hard-to-abate sectors in an effort to reduce carbon emissions by the local and national governments. The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) has agreed to invest in the Clean H2 Infra Fund of France as an equity partner. The Fund aims to raise EUR1,500 million, with JBIC contributing up to EUR100 million.
