Raven SR plans to build a waste-to-hydrogen production facility in Aragón, Spain. From 75 tons of organic solid waste per day, the Raven SR project in Aragón will produce 1,600 metric tons of renewable hydrogen per year. Raven SR intends to start work on the modular project in 2023. Raven SR’s non-combustion technology reduces waste and emissions while producing a clean, renewable fuel. Raven SR is a member of the Hy2Market and European Consortium Pilot Action, which is part of the I3 Interregional Innovation Investment Funding Instrument, and aims to support the commercialization and scaling up of interregional European innovation…

Hyundai Motor Group has agreed to collaborate with Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco) and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) to research and develop an advanced fuel for an ultra lean-burn, spark-ignition engine with the goal of reducing a vehicle’s overall carbon dioxide emissions. During its transition to battery electric vehicles (BEV) and fuel cell electric vehicles, Hyundai Motor Group is conducting various R&D activities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles (FCEV). e-fuels, unlike traditional fuels, are made from green hydrogen (produced by water electrolysis with renewable electricity) and carbon dioxide, resulting in…

JW Filshill has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ScottishPower to investigate the possibility of powering its fleet with green hydrogen and electrification. JW Filshill’s fleet is present in hundreds of communities across the country, serving over 1,400 delivered goods customers, including over 210 Keystore convenience stores across Scotland and the north of England. The wholesaler could save an estimated 1,100 tonnes of CO2 per year by switching to green hydrogen and renewable electricity where possible. Green hydrogen is the only carbon-free method of hydrogen production. The electricity required to power an electrolyser, which separates water into oxygen and hydrogen,…

De Nora and H2U Technologies have announced a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) to investigate the viability of recently discovered non-platinum group metal (PGM) catalysts for green hydrogen production. De Nora will assist H2U in bringing their innovative, earth-abundant catalysts to the electrolyzer market through their partnership. These new catalysts will close a critical gap in the development of low-cost green hydrogen, lowering a significant cost barrier to the hydrogen value chain’s growth and advancing the energy transition. De Nora has also confirmed new success with an H2U-identified non-platinum group metal (PGM) catalyst for green hydrogen production, marking a significant milestone…

Gloyer-Taylor Laboratories (GTL) and HyPoint announced a partnership to combine GTL’s superior carbon composite “BHL Cryotank” liquid hydrogen gas tanks with HyPoint’s gas cell system. In comparison to current aerospace cryotanks (steel or composite), BHL Cryotanks have demonstrated a 75 percent mass reduction, allowing hydrogen plane and eVTOL designers to store up to 10 times more liquid hydrogen gas without adding mass. As a result, planes can travel longer distances between refueling stops. HyPoint also announced that Umeed Ashtiani, a former GE Aviation and Rolls-Royce engineering executive, has joined the company to lead the company’s system engineering team and oversee…
