Limejump has been awarded the contract to trade the power output of the first subsidy-free Scottish wind farm using wind turbines at Crossdykes Wind Farm in Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. The 46MW onshore wind farm, developed and owned by Muirhall Energy and WWS Development, is one of the first subsidy-free wind farms in the UK. Notably, Crossdykes is the first subsidy-free wind farm to enter the Grid Balancing Mechanism, and is the largest wind site to enter Limejump’s generation portfolio. ABO Wind Oy and Gasum Oy have entered into a long-term agreement on wind farm output. Under the ten-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Gasum will begin to sell renewable wind power produced in North Ostrobothnia to its customers starting in 2023. The agreement will enable the partners Gasum and ABO Wind to increase the availability of renewable Finnish energy and at the same time more wind power will be built in Finland. First Solar has supplied its advanced Series 6 photovoltaic (PV) solar modules to JP Energie Environnement (JPee) to power its 59-megawatt (MW)DC Labarde solar power plant. Liebherr and MCCtec Rostock have signed a contract with Aibel for the delivery of a cylinder-luffing crane, type RL 2600-35 Lit for DolWin epsilon platform. OYA Solar has closed a $35 million construction and interconnection financing from NY Green Bank, that will support the construction of three community solar projects in New York state. The first, a 6.8 MWDC project in Constable, New York, is already under construction. Worley has secured a contract to provide the early front-end engineering and design (pre-FEED) for the first two carbon capture units at Drax Group’s power station in North Yorkshire, UK. Each unit is expected to capture approximately 4 million tonnes of carbon dioxide a year. The carbon capture units will incorporate the negative emissions process scheme, Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS). LONGi has supplied 11.7MW of innovative solar modules to a PV plant within the Parque Fotovoltaico Libertadores in Los Andes Province, Chile, which is now supplying electricity to the local grid.
