Forestalia and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) have agreed to invest in a portfolio of 27 onshore wind farms under development in the Spanish province of Teruel, Aragon. The portfolio is expected to have a total installed capacity of more than 1GW. All the projects in the portfolio have secured grid connection rights and are currently being progressed towards financial close, which is expected in approximately 24 months. Under the terms of the agreement, Forestalia will provide development services to the portfolio of projects until they reach financial close and begin construction. The Solar Foundation and the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) have signed an agreement to merge into a single, expanded nonprofit dedicated to the rapid adoption of clean energy. The combined organization will support the accelerated growth of renewable energy and energy efficiency and a 100% clean energy future that is reliable, resilient, and equitable. Over the coming months, the two organizations will work together to integrate their programs, with the merger anticipated to be completed in mid-2021. STAG Industrial has started construction of its first onsite solar installation in Illinois, and its fifth solar installation in Massachusetts. The projects are part of community solar programs and will provide low-cost renewable energy to local homes and businesses. Facilitated by Black Bear Energy in partnership with STAG, and developed by Green Street Power Partners (GSPP), these systems have an aggregate capacity of 3.5 MW and will generate over 4.4 million kWh of electricity annually – the equivalent of powering nearly 361 homes with solar.
