The sustainable mobility association Gasnam held an online conference to present the Basque Hydrogen Corridor, a pioneering initiative, born from the hand of Petronor and Repsol, to advance the decarbonization of transport, among other sectors. The projects integrated in this initiative involve an investment of 1,300 million euros until 2026, generating more than 1,340 direct jobs and 6,700 indirect jobs, which will result in the production of 20,000 tons of renewable hydrogen per year and in a reduction of 1.5 million tons of CO2 during this period. CS Energy has hired IHI Engineering Australia (a subsidiary of IHI Corporation Japan) to construct the Kogan Renewable Hydrogen Demonstration Plant near Chinchilla. Construction is expected to begin in six months. Minister for Energy, Renewables and Hydrogen Mick de Brenni made the announcement in a media release today.  Additionally, Mr de Brenni said that the government would contribute $28.9 million to the project and a refueling network through the government’s $2 billion Queensland Renewable Energy and Hydrogen Jobs Fund. South Korea’s first biogas hydrogen fueling station built in Chungju, 147 kilometers south of Seoul, using food waste to manufacture and distribute hydrogen fuel. The Chungju Bio-Hydrogen Refueling Station utilizes biogas generated from the Chungju Food Bio Energy Center to produce highly concentrated, environmentally friendly hydrogen with a purity of more than 99.99 percent. The station is equipped to fuel hydrogen cars and also delivers tube trailers to other hydrogen stations. Around 12.3 billion won ($10 million) was spent on the development of an operating system that integrates the manufacturing, storage, transportation, fueling, and sales processes.
