Nordex Group recently installed the first N149/5.X turbine on the Genshagener Heide wind farm near Potsdam, Germany.  The Nordex Group launched the market segment for 5 MW turbines with this type of turbine in the spring of 2019. As part of the standard validation and certification process for its turbines in the Delta4000 series, the Nordex Group replaced the gearboxes first mounted in two N149/4.0-4.5 turbines in Wennerstorf, Lower Saxony, Germany. The turbines installed at this site in 2018 are the world’s first Delta4000 turbines of this model. Cloudberry Clean Energy has received 100 percent approval for its bid to the shareholders of Scanvind2, the holding company of the Rewind Vänern offshore wind project. The transaction represents an additional step towards the goal of Cloudberry to become a major offshore wind developer in the Nordic countries. Iberdrola has been awarded a grid link in the Algarve, Portugal for a hybrid photovoltaic project, with an installed capacity of 83 megawatts (MW) and a storage capacity of 14 MW, which will stabilize the system and control the discharge to the grid at times of high demand. GE Renewable Energy has been selected by PÜSPÖK Group as the supplier for two wind farms located in the Burgenland region in Austria. The 157 MW project, which will use 30 GE Cypress onshore wind turbines, represents significant progress for GE in the region.
