PKN ORLEN has started onshore geological surveys along the connecting route of its proposed offshore wind farm. The work will help to delineate an underground cable route to evacuate electricity from an offshore farm to an onshore power station. The measurements will be carried out in the municipality of Choczewo, where the transmission system will be installed. All of the wind farm’s power generation in the Baltic Sea will be extracted underground, both along the offshore and onshore parts of the connecting path. Community Windpower has submitted proposals for a new wind farm that would offer a major boost to Green Recovery in Southern Scotland and enable the region to resolve the climate emergency. Arizona Public Service Company (APS) has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Leeward to purchase wind power from Leeward’s two Aragon wind plants. The PPA was the outcome of a Wind Request for Proposal in September 2019. This PPA allows Leeward to sell 200 megawatts of wind power to APS over a period of 20 years through the regeneration of Leeward’s current 90-megawatt Aragonne wind project and the development of its 145-megawatt Aragonne Mesa wind project. Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has gained ownership of closed-loop pump storage hydro projects in Swan Lake (Klamath County, Oregon) and Goldendale (Klickitat County, Washington).
