A consortium led by Akuo and composed of Harrison Street, Morgan Stanley, and GE Energy Financial Services (GE EFS) has reached financial closer for Bennington Wind, a 93.06 MW onshore wind development project. The project is located approximately 100 miles southwest of Chicago in Bennington Township in Marshall County, Illinois. Global Power Generation (GPG), a joint venture between the Naturgy Energy Group (75 percent) and the Kuwait Investment Authority (25 percent), has been awarded a contract to construct a 107 MW wind farm approximately 150 kilometers from Melbourne. Enefit Green, a renewable energy subsidiary of Eesti Energia, has completed the acquisition of Tolpanvaara wind farm development from Metsähallitus, a company that manages the Finnish state forest. Iberdrola continues to make progress in the development of Saint Brieuc, its first large-scale offshore wind project in Brittany. Enel Green Power México (EGPM) has completed the installation of wind turbines and pre-operation tests are underway at the 274 MW Dolores wind farm, Enel’s largest single wind farm in Mexico. Windhoist has won a contract to provide local technicians with assistance in pre-assembly work for the Moray East offshore wind farm.
