Wärtsilä has been contracted to upgrade the performance of four vessels owned by Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC), a Kuwait Petroleum Company (KPC) subsidiary, by retrofitting the Wärtsilä fuel efficiency boost solution into the main engines of the vessels. The change would minimize fuel consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emission levels. The order was placed in the first quarter of 2020 with Wärtsilä. LONGi has supplied monocrystalline PERC modules to the Ningxia project Wulongqiao 228MW power plant. The supplied modules have a passivated rear side and a laser grooving process, which significantly improves the cell efficiency and offers higher capacity and reliability for power generation under various climatic conditions, especially in areas with abundant light resources. The estimated annual power output for the project is approximately 328.992 million kW/h, with an annual equivalent consumption of some 1.445 hours. LOC has won a contract to support Marine Warranty Services (MWS) transportation and installation operations for the Jieyang II wind farm development. Under the terms of the agreement, LOC China will provide all essential marine operations and procedures, including on-site attendance to authorize procedures, with document review and verification. The scope of work will also include vessel suitability surveys for the period of essential operations to support the project. The work is scheduled to begin in August 2020. Deutsche Windtechnik and Senvion have signed service contracts for 110 additional turbines at 32 wind farms. The onshore wind farms are located in Germany, Belgium, France, and the UK and include a wide variety of turbine types from all generations of technology. The Department of the Interior and the Bureau of Land Management have accepted a plan to construct and operate the largest solar project in the history of the United States. U.S. secretary of the Interior David L.
