Forsee Power has received an order from Ballard Motive Solutions to equip 20 zero-emission Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCV) with Forsee Power battery systems.
Forsee Power and Ballard announced a strategic partnership in November 2021 to develop a fully integrated solution combining a fuel cell and battery system that is optimized to meet the needs of targeted medium and heavy-duty mobility markets such as bus, truck, rail, marine, and off-road transportation. Since then, the R&D teams of the two companies have been working together to co-design a solution for the heavy vehicle segment.
By providing pre-integrated and optimized electric powertrain solutions, the Ballard and Forsee Power partnership is expected to increase technological performance, optimize costs, extend service life, and reduce customer friction points by bringing complementary technologies, customers, verticals, and markets together.
Furthermore, the two innovative companies will benefit from mutual customer access in the medium and heavy vehicle market segments, which will help them expand their business in North America, Europe, and Asia.
