The UK government’s Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has chosen Vertex Hydrogen’s HyNet Hydrogen Production Plant to continue in the Phase-2 Cluster Sequencing Process. Due diligence will now be applied to the project.
Vertex Hydrogen’s CEO, Joe Seifert, stated: “We are at the center of the HyNet cluster and are dedicated to bringing a world-class hydrogen economy with significant capital investment to cut carbon emissions, secure and increase the UK manufacturing employment, and generate value for stakeholders. As the UK promotes itself as a worldwide leader in this burgeoning industry, we regard this news as additional support for the hydrogen sector. BP (bpH2Teeside), Equinor (Hydrogen to Humber), and Kellas (H2NorthEast) are the other three hydrogen production projects chosen in the East Coast Cluster.
