The Bosch Group is investing heavily. By 2026, the company plans to invest around 50 million in Austria in technologies that will enable the use of so-called renewable fuels, such as hydrogen, in large engines.

The “largest part” of the mega sum will go to the Salinenstadt, the company says. That’s because work is being done there on a new generation of injection systems for fuel alternatives such as methanol and hydrogen. “The laboratory and test stands are being expanded for the project,” they say. In addition, 40 new jobs will be created. The EU is funding the project.
