Calumet Specialty Products Partners announced that Montana Renewables LLC (“MRL”) has completed the previously announced $50 million project financing from Stonebriar Commercial Finance LLC (“Stonebriar”) for the construction of a renewable hydrogen plant in Great Falls, Montana, for Calumet’s renewable diesel business.

Once completed, the renewable hydrogen plant will enable increasing production of renewable diesel while also lowering the carbon intensity of MRL products. The sustainable hydrogen power plant is scheduled to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2022.
