As a first step toward developing supply chains to import green hydrogen and ammonia into the Netherlands and northwest Europe, Chariot has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Port of Rotterdam International.
The two businesses will collaborate to connect with off-takers and achieve contracts for certain quantities under the terms of the agreement.
Chariot’s Transitional Power CEO, Benoit Garrivier, stated that the company’s green hydrogen project in Mauritania has the potential to make the nation one of the world’s cheapest producers.
“Our goal is to assist the country in becoming a major producer and exporter of green hydrogen.”
“The project may convert Mauritania into a prominent supplier of green hydrogen to Europe, making it one of the greatest energy projects of its kind in the world,” said René van der Plas, director of Port of Rotterdam International.
