The first of seven offshore wind service boats designed for emission-free operation is Edda Wind’s newbuild Edda Breeze.
Service for Commissioning Anywhere in the world that there are wind farms, Operation Vessel may operate there. With a hydrogen-based propulsion system ready for emission-free operations, it will make it possible to build and commission wind farms without emitting carbon dioxide in a matter of years.
Nine SOVs and CSOVs will be in the fleet of Edda Wind. Six of these will be in use in the next year.
When everything is said and done, Edda Breeze will begin a ten-year contract with Ocean Breeze on the German farm Bard Offshore 1.
By 2030, excluding China, it is predicted that more than 250 vessels will be needed due to increased attention being paid to energy security and an accelerated pace for the transition to renewable energy. This substantially exceeds the 49 total vessel order book and present tonnage.
