The French Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition has reveled the winners of the 10th round of tenders for commercial and industrial rooftop photovoltaic systems with generating capacity ranging from 100 kW to 8 MW.

The ministry picked 306 projects in the procurement exercise, with a total installed capacity of 152 MW. The projects will value the electricity produced for projects with generating capacity ranging from 100 kW to 500 kW at an average price of € 96.49 / MWh and €86.17 / MWh for those with capacity ranging from 500 kW to 8 MW.

However, the final average prices of the most recent three tenders were higher than those reported in previous rounds of procurement. For example, the final average price of all selected projects in a tender in September 2018 was €76.80 / MWh, down 5 percent from the €80.80 recorded in the round five months earlier. At the time, then minister François De Rugy said that the largest rooftop projects allocated in the exercise had achieved a relatively low price of €72.20 / MWh.

According to the list of winners, most of the projects have an installed capacity of less than 300 kW. In the section for larger systems, 27 projects had a capacity greater than 1 MW, with the largest being a 6.9 MW installation.
