The French Ministry of Energy, on July 25, 2024, announced a significant tender titled “Achat de systèmes d’acquisition de données et de contrôle commande” aimed at acquiring data-processing and control command systems for hydrogen energy projects.

Interested parties have until September 30, 2024, to submit their proposals. The primary objective of this tender is to procure data acquisition and control command systems that will enhance the efficiency and safety of hydrogen energy operations. These systems are crucial for monitoring and managing various aspects of hydrogen production, storage, and distribution, ensuring seamless integration with the existing energy grid.

Key requirements

The tender outlines several key requirements for potential bidders:

1. Data Acquisition Capabilities: The systems must be capable of accurately capturing real-time data from multiple sources, including hydrogen production plants, storage facilities, and distribution networks. This data is essential for optimizing operational efficiency and ensuring safety standards are met.

2. Control Command Functions: The proposed systems should offer robust control mechanisms to manage the operations of hydrogen facilities remotely. This includes startup and shutdown procedures, emergency response protocols, and routine maintenance operations.

3. Scalability and Integration: The equipment must be scalable to accommodate future expansions in the hydrogen sector and compatible with existing industrial systems. This ensures long-term utility and cost-effectiveness.

Technical specifications

The systems should have high processing speeds, reliable data security features, and the ability to function in diverse environmental conditions. These technical requirements are crucial for maintaining the integrity and reliability of the hydrogen energy infrastructure.

By targeting these specific objectives, the French Ministry of Energy aims to support the development of a robust and efficient hydrogen economy. This initiative is expected to drive innovation in hydrogen technologies, attract significant investment, and ultimately contribute to a sustainable energy future.
