CertifHy has recognized TÜV SÜD as certifying organization
The non-governmental certification program CertifHy, which promotes certified proof of origin for hydrogen across Europe, has officially recognized TÜV SÜD as a certifying organization. TÜV SÜD has been a part of the CertifHy consortium since the beginning and has helped to build the program with its vast certification experience.
The goal of CertifHyTM is to promote and enable the production, acquisition, and application of low-carbon, renewable, and non-renewable hydrogen. It has created the CertifHyTM non-governmental certification (NGC) program in Europe to aid in the expansion of the hydrogen industry by giving customers a trustworthy means of tracking the provenance and environmental certifications of hydrogen. The certificates make it easier to trade low-carbon and renewable hydrogen across Europe.
ACES Delta’s hydrogen electrolyzers arrive
The first cargo of large-scale hydrogen electrolyzers and gas separators has arrived at the Advanced Clean Energy Storage Hub (ACES Delta) located in Delta, Utah. For the project, which intends to become the biggest renewable hydrogen energy hub in the United States, this is an important milestone. ACES Delta is expected to almost treble global clean hydrogen output levels annually after it begins operations in 2025.
Magnum Development and Mitsubishi Power are collaborating on the ACES Delta project, which has a $504 million federal credit guarantee. The project’s salient aspects are as follows:
SFC Energy and Auto AG Group expand partnership
SFC Energy and the Swiss mobility giant Auto AG Group are growing their fruitful partnership.
Direct methanol fuel cells (DMFC) from the EFOY series and EFOY lithium batteries for the consumer and industry markets are now part of the partnership. As a result, Auto AG Group is entering the small and compact equipment market and is currently the general distributor for EFOY fuel cells in Switzerland.
Thus far, the relationship has only been used to develop the emission-free and mobile hydrogen fuel cell solution H2Genset, which was jointly developed by both firms and the Austrian company TEST-FUCHS GmbH. Regardless of the weather or time of day, the methanol-based SFC fuel cells EFOY and EFOY Pro consistently and independently generate electricity. Both fuel cell models may be installed in a very space-efficient manner, are silent, and have very low fuel consumption.
Wesam Al-Ghamdi takes over as CEO of NEOM Green Hydrogen
Wesam Al-Ghamdi took over as CEO of NEOM Green Hydrogen Co., replacing David Edmondson in the role.
With Edmondson’s assistance, NGHC completed the financial closing of its green hydrogen plant, which is presently under construction in Oxagon, in May 2023. Edmondson will return to his roots at Air Products at year’s end as part of this planned transition.
