Doosan Bobcat launches its first-ever electric forklift powered by hydrogen
Doosan Bobcat has announced the launch of its first-ever electric forklift powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, and it intends to operate thirty of these HFCEV forklifts this year as part of its ongoing efforts to hydrogenate (?) the Korean material handling fleet.
The Doosan Hydrogen B35X-7P, which will be delivered to the Korea Zinc Onsan refinery in Ulsan, Korea, is essentially a 3-ton Bobcat electric forklift fitted with a 20 kW fuel cell in place of a battery. Furthermore, according to Doosan Bobcat, the B35X-7P is the first HFC forklift prototype to complete its research and development cycle and achieve limited production status, despite the fact that prototypes and concepts have been demonstrated.
