Geesinknorba will showcase an innovative garbage truck at TECMA 2022. The vehicle, a hydrogen-powered Geesink RCV, was designed in close collaboration with HYZON Motors to expedite the transition to emission-free waste management.
Hyzon is the first manufacturer to mass-produce fuel cell trucks in order to deliver a low-cost, environmentally friendly vehicle.
The LI-ON Power PRO module on the hydrogen-powered Geesink GPM IV rear loader provides optimum power to the body, lifter, and chassis in the most cost-effective manner.
The LI-ON Power is designed for various applications and may provide output in seven phases, resulting in a 20% reduction in energy usage compared to comparable systems. This allows you to drive further and gather more trash cans in a single trip.
Trucks powered by hydrogen fuel cells are all-electric vehicles with a range extender. There is a chemical reaction between oxygen and hydrogen in a fuel cell. While water drips from the exhaust to the ground, electrical energy is being generated to power the chassis and body.
When hydrogen is produced from renewable sources such as wind, water, or solar energy, the entire system is emission-free. The vehicle is offered in 350 and 700 bar to accommodate the needs of the customer.
The battery systems are integrated into the battery pack as 10 kWh modules. The available battery packs are suitable for every application. For short trips without inclines, a minimum of 290 kWh is necessary.
320 kWh for medium applications. For substantial energy needs, 360 to 400 kWh are required. Higher values are possible, however at 350 kWh a hydrogen drive should be considered because it can be readily recharged.
Even though the hydrogen truck is 200 kg heavier than a standard truck, the payload is optimized for efficiency by being high. In addition, the return on investment is attractive because to the low operating and maintenance costs.
The unique vehicle satisfies current market demands and makes driving in cities and urban areas free of CO2, particulates, and noise pollution. It is another step in our commitment to a more sustainable and effective waste management system.
The vehicle debuted at the VAK Truck in Action during the IFAT and is now on display at our table 8B04 at the Tecma trade show in Madrid! You are cordially invited to visit our stand!
