GenH2, a leading producer of hydrogen infrastructure solutions, announced a collaboration with Monfort Technology to develop solutions for the mass transit and long-haul transportation industries.

GenH2 will develop hydrogen generation, liquefaction, controlled storage, and dispensing solutions to bolster the nation’s bus and Class 1-8 truck fuelling infrastructure. Monfort, best known for developing the world’s first operational 80-passenger electric school bus, will manufacture EV hybrid vehicle conversation kits based on their unique BMS and drivetrain technology.

“The combination of reliable hydrogen infrastructure and Class 1-8 trucks powered by BEV and hydrogen fuel cells will serve as a total solution for transit and long-haul trucking companies,” said Cody Bateman, Founder and CEO of GenH2. “Our alliance with Monfort Technology is a great example of industry leaders working together to build the future of the hydrogen economy.”

Monfort Technology is a market leader in energy management, automation, thermal dynamics, and zero-emission vehicle conversions. Their vast experience in product development, engineering, and production resulted in the establishment of numerous patents and technologies, including the COLDfire Process, the Ronaele Mustang, and the Electric Driveshaft for Hybrid Vehicles.

“I’m excited about this partnership with GenH2, which will allow us to leverage our combined expertise to provide a comprehensive solution that has not been available and will help enable rapid expansion of this industry” said Monfort. “My background in designing the first patented Cryogenic Thermal Cycling machine aligns with GenH2’s work in this important and growing field and I look forward to our partnership to further the adoption of clean energy alternatives.”

The alliance’s primary objective will be to provide mobility and infrastructure solutions to support the following use cases:

  • Municipalities and school districts can purchase buses and associated hydrogen infrastructure.
  • Long-haul vehicles and hydrogen infrastructure to support regional transportation
  • Transport of liquid hydrogen

Additionally, GenH2 and Monfort will work on the development of capsules for on-board liquid hydrogen storage. The businesses intend to speed development by leveraging both Monfort-past patents covering cryogenic thermal cycle systems and GenH2 Intellectual Property covering regulated storage and transmission.
