Germany assists Egypt in creating a green hydrogen value chain that is sustainable.

Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection Robert Habeck and State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development Jochen Flasbarth signed two letters of intent with Egyptian ministers in a virtual event. Their objective is to increase collaboration with Egypt in the commerce of liquefied natural gas and the manufacturing of green hydrogen ( LNG ).

Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Dr. Mohamed Shaker El-Markabi, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, were the signatories from the Egyptian side.

Both nations are demonstrating their aims to stop climate change and create a reliable and cheap energy supply using carbon-free, climate-friendly energy sources by signing the statements, which are based on the Paris Climate Agreement’s objectives.

A second statement was issued in light of the present energy crisis to enhance government and business cooperation in energy trading, particularly in the delivery of liquefied natural gas.
