GridStor, a company dedicated to large-scale battery energy storage, has acquired a substantial 200 MW / 800 MWh battery storage project from Black Mountain Energy Storage in Oklahoma.

This strategic move addresses the growing energy demands of the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) region. The SPP region is facing a pressing need for new power solutions. By 2030, new energy resources must be implemented to satisfy the increasing demand from data centers and industrial customers.

Set in Eastern Oklahoma, GridStor’s project location already hosts several data centers, with more under development. This initiative not only boosts the resilience of Oklahoma’s power grid but also guarantees a dependable power supply to cater to the region’s growing energy needs.
