The H2It association has attained the milestone of 100 members.
The organization, which was founded in 2005 to promote the production and use of hydrogen, tripled its membership between 2019 and 2022, with members representing businesses and research institutions of varying sizes and industries. This is mentioned in a note, which also states that H2It’s objective is to “strengthen the network of firms and research institutes operating in the hydrogen market, with the goal of maturing it and making it critical for our country’s ecological revolution.” To do this, H2It collaborates with the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center on the Innovahy project, a program designed to foster the growth of innovative SMEs and startups in the hydrogen sector.
“The amazing success that we are celebrating today is the culmination of the Association’s more than 15 years of hard effort,” President Alberto Dossi recalls, noting that “the adventure of H2It began when hydrogen was not on the agendas of the competent entities.”
Now, he argues, the path adopted by European and Italian institutions reaffirms the critical role of the supply chain in achieving decarbonization goals. However, we must grow it by acting as a system and speaking with a single voice that can best support the efforts of several businesses, large and small, Italian and international.
